AI is not arriving in organizations as a single transformation program. Its impact is felt differently depending on where you sit.
For all the discussion about how AI will reshape business, much of the conversation has focused on the practitioners: marketers, creatives, strategists and technologists. Less attention has been paid to what it means for the people leading them.
From where I sit, the biggest shift is not that leaders suddenly need to become AI experts. It is that they need to guide organizations through change that touches every function differently, while keeping those functions working effectively together.
That may sound straightforward. But in practice, it is becoming the defining leadership challenge.
This is why I believe we are entering the age of the connected leader.
