Ellen Turnill Montoya, associate creative director at the design agency Buck, kicked off by speaking more broadly about the pressure on agencies to scale. “You do have to have some kind of scale and growth because of inflation. Everybody’s wages, the office that you’re in, the snacks get more expensive,” she told an audience of designers and creatives. That means you need to have some level of scale and growth within a company.
